Part of the MetroWo ecosystem

Across every calibration lab, the same mistakes keep happening.

Ever heard these words from your technicians?

"It was human error." "The reference was already off - not my fault." "I did what I always do." "That's how we've done it since I started." "I forgot." "That's how I was taught."

Here is what those words end up costing.

Measurement & Reading Errors

Taking a wrong measurement Parallax error reading analog gages from an angle Subjective interpolation of needle position Manual transcription of a visually-read value Reading the wrong scale on a multi-scale asset Transferring a reading to the certificate wrong

Certificate & Documentation Errors

Giving smaller uncertainty than the scope uncertainty Using the wrong uncertainty on the certificate Writing the measurement unit wrong Not marking an out-of-scope point on the certificate Using the wrong certificate template Sending an outdated certificate revision Leaving before/after data off an adjustment

Traceability, Compliance & Audit Readiness

Using masters that are already due for calibration An overdue asset going unnoticed Not being able to prove an unbroken traceability chain No audit trail of who did what and when Cannot locate old paper certificates when requested Calibrating without logging environmental conditions A weak contract review picking the wrong test points Decision rules never agreed with the customer beforehand Sending a unit back without calibration Sending a unit back without a certificate Automatic recording left turned off

Setup & Calibration Process Errors

Wrong range or span configured before calibration Zero and span errors corrected separately, compounding the error Outdated manufacturer specs used as the reference Wrong number of test points selected Different technicians using different methods for the same measurement

Manual Handling & Setup Errors

Calibration setup still done by hand - setpoints, ranges, connections Equipment not verified before it goes back into service

Efficiency, Paperwork & Accountability

Procedures not being followed Lab capacity nobody tracked, deadlines missed Time lost to repetitive manual setup steps "Paperwork is 90% of the work" Manual data entry hurting morale and slowing new hires Every manual hand-off is one more chance for a mistake

Calibration, connected.Measurement, controlled.

MetroWo brings the entire calibration workflow together in one connected ecosystem.

From laboratory management and automated gage reading to calibration execution and setup control, every step works together seamlessly.

  • Gypsy organizes the laboratory from quotes, intake, invoicing to shipping;
  • GageEye captures instrument displays automatically and digitizes measurements;
  • AutoCalibrator reads your scope, guides the calibration and writes the certificate in your existing Excel.
  • GageHand automates the physical setup.

Together, they reduce manual work, eliminate unnecessary data transfers, and make every measurement more consistent and traceable.

Built around the tools and workflows calibration laboratories already use, MetroWo modernizes the process without forcing you to start over.

Less manual work. Fewer errors. More control. One complete calibration ecosystem.

Problems and Our Solutions to Them

Every line above, listed - tap any of them to see how we answer it.

We hear what actually goes wrong on the floor, and we keep building straightforward answers for it.

Every part of our ecosystem scales with you - the same tools work whether your lab is just getting started or forty years in, no enterprise budget required. Report a problem we haven't listed.

Success Stories

Our team has delivered measurement systems for TUBITAK UME (Turkish National Metrology Institute), Istanbul Technical University and TSE (Turkish Standards Institute).

Timeline

Engineering roots

The team's engineering practice began in 1990. Today, the core team brings more than 70 years of combined engineering experience to calibration and precision measurement.

First precision machines for UME

Built high-precision force standard and mass comparator machines for Türkiye's National Metrology Institute (2003-2004).

Scanivalf for ITU

Designed the Scanivalf wind tunnel measurement system for Istanbul Technical University in 2005.

First version built

Gypsy's first version was built for a laboratory client in 2013, covering roughly three-quarters of today's functionality.

Continued in the United States

In 2014, the team continued its work in the United States, incorporating there to carry the practice forward.

First working prototype

The capture-and-analysis pipeline built for GageEye included a custom camera capturing at 30 frames per second. By 2018, the team had a working prototype in hand, sent out as proof-of-concept samples to industry partners.

First concept

An earlier AutoCalibrator concept, built around manual data-entry screens, was developed over roughly three years before being set aside.

Redesigned for 60 FPS

In 2024, a new GageEye was designed with a high capture rate - analyzing and digitizing 60 frames per second.

Rebuilt around your existing Excel workflow

AutoCalibrator's approach changed - the product was redesigned. It now reads Scope files and certificate templates directly from Excel, guides the technician through each setpoint, and captures every reading through GageEye.

Modernization underway

Gypsy is being modernized with today's technology as part of the MetroWo ecosystem.

The final piece takes shape

With AutoCalibrator guiding technicians through Excel-based certificates, the idea for GageHand emerged: automating the setpoint changes themselves.

Completing the ecosystem

GageHand will close the loop - controlling assets the same way a technician's hand does, completing the full MetroWo ecosystem.
